Talc Mineral
Talc is the softest mineral found in nature, with a value of 1 on the Mohs hardness scale. Chemically, it is a hydrated magnesium silicate (Mg₃Si₄O₁₀(OH)₂). The talc we extract as Sivas Talk Madencilik exceeds world standards with its high whiteness, purity and lubricity.
Thanks to its soft structure, oil and moisture absorption capacity, chemical stability and high whiteness, talc has a very wide range of industrial uses. The raw talc extracted from our mines is ground in our modern facilities and offered to customers in various micron sizes.
Key Properties
- High whiteness and purity
- Low hardness (Mohs 1)
- High oil and moisture absorption
- Chemical inertness and stability
- Resistance to heat and acids
